About

I began working at 17 while attending night college, spending roughly a decade in my family’s food processing and catering business. After seven years in nationalised banking, I followed the work I cared about most and moved into travel. I have now spent more than thirty years in the industry, close to the operators, suppliers, rates and judgment that make a trip work.

In 2017, Vikas Khanduri and I co-founded Innowayt, a bootstrapped platform that connected travel businesses across 38 countries. After an exit in March 2024, we teamed up again to build NAMA, an AI-first operating system for travel agencies, tour operators and DMCs. I do not write code. My part is the product judgment that comes from doing the work for decades.

This site is where I keep field notes from that work: what we are learning while building NAMA, what travel software still misunderstands, and stories from the road. It is also my own home for writing after years of publishing elsewhere.

I was born and raised in Mumbai and now live in Bengaluru. Away from the product, I make artisanal pickles and take long road trips with my wife, Radhika. You can read what has my attention on the Now page, follow the Build Log, or browse my Field Notes.
